About The Asha Kiran Project

Bhagwan Mahavir Asha Kiran Project – for the Education of Impoverished, Deprived, and Orphaned Children

What is the Bhagwan Mahavir Asha Kiran Project?

The Bhagwan Mahavir Asha Kiran Project (Asha Kiran) is dedicated to the support of underprivileged youth in India, offering shelter, clothing, food, healthcare, love and high quality academic and moral education. Asha Kiran selects gifted children from families who cannot afford two meals a day, let alone educational costs for the child. These parents work in the farm or in menial labor to earn their living. So, they are unable to send their children to school. Even the children who are able to receive some primary education are unable to pursue higher education because of economic consideration, parental pressures to earn, and a lack of adequate, affordable schooling.

According to Bhagwan Mahavir, poverty is one of the biggest cruelties. Sponsorship through Asha Kiran changes lives! It breaks the cycle of poverty because it educates children.
